Dear STEM Ambassador

We have now reached the magnificent total of 1000 STEM ambassadors, registered across Wales.

As you can imagine keeping such a wide and diverse family informed and united as a network is a challenge and therefore we hope you will make good use of this newsletter as well as regular contact with Cerys Terry and me. We would really encourage and welcome feedback about the content and appearance of the newsletter as it is a resource for yourself and the schools. You can send your comments to us at ambassadors@see-science.co.uk.

Please don’t forget to let us know before you attend a school or event as an ambassador, so that you are fully covered by the STEMNET insurance. We also know that many of you have been active but this has not always been visible – largely because logging activities has proved difficult, so a ‘how to’ summary is attached below.

Cerys Terry, STEM Assistant

News

Keep up to date with Rhys Phillips on Pythagoras Trousers at www.radiocardiff.org/.

A fun way to get involved with other keen STEM Ambassadors and pupils, is the Wellcome Trust funded online “game” I’m a scientist get me out of here www.imascientist.org.uk.

Pupils can compete for prizes by challenging you to answer questions in an innovative and imaginative way.

Inductions

The next series of inductions will take place on the following dates – to book a place contact ambassadors@see-science.co.uk. Newly Registered Ambassadors must attend an induction meeting and bring their ID documents with them. Approved Ambassadors are also welcome to attend.

There is also opportunity for newly registered Ambassadors who are unable to attend the above, to make arrangements for induction at our offices at Charles Street, Cardiff CF10 2GD.
