During this workshop pupils are given the opportunity to make their own paints using food-based pigments, PVA glue and water. The paints can then be used on watercolour paper, giving a creative element to the activity.
The workshop has been successfully run with pupils from year 3 to year 8 as well as a table-top activity at a large family community event. The activities use non-expensive ingredients, require no unusual scientific equipment, are easy to prepare, and are fun to do! The resources consist of a PowerPoint and a set of Activity sheets detailing different Chemistry based activities.

The Gopher Science Labs project supports transition from primary to secondary school with peer-to-peer learning across age groups.
Gopher Resource booklet is a transition phase initiative funded by the Welsh Government through the National Science Academy and delivered by the Royal Society of Biology.

Milk and More is a new workshop which has been developed by See Science and funded through the Biochemical Society Scientific Outreach Grant which introduces biochemical science for KS2/3 audiences. It consists of 4 different hands-on milk based activities, as well as some ideas of other food-related experiments, all suitable for use within lesson time or as STEM Club activities.

A new Welsh medium science website for 7-16 year old pupils has been launched by Aberystwyth University education publisher CAA Cymru.
Cyffro a Rhyfeddod Gwyddoniaeth (Excitement and Wonder of Science), has been developed to stimulate thinking and encourage pupils to explore further scientific questions that arise in their everyday lives. The resource has been sponsored by the Welsh Government and authored by Cerian Angharad of Cardiff based STEM consultancy See Science.
Science Enhancement Experience (SEE) was created and developed by See Science. The challenges are designed to facilitate learning, team working and encourage pupils' curiosity to find out how and why things work.

The upper KS2 workshop consists of four practical activities that pupils undertake in groups, each linked to a real-world chemist's role.
The activities include pH testing and identifying unknown white powders while the real-world chemistry covered during the session ranges from Environmental Chemistry to Forensics and even polymer manufacture.

The workshop is appropriate for Community Groups and the activities can be adapted for ages 6 to 14. The resources consist of a PowerPoint, a set of Activity sheets detailing 4 different Chemistry based activities and a set of Busking activities all linked to products commonly found on the High Street. Busking activities are short demos or hands on activities appropriate for community groups or science fairs/family days settings.
